The Sustainable Thermal Energy Systems Research group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calgary is seeking for a passionate, highly motivated, self-disciplined M.Sc. student for a project in integrated concentrating solar power and pumped thermal energy storage. The department is searching for individuals who are passionate about sustainable energy and who possess excellent problem-solving skills. Other attributes include, strong analytical skills, can work independently, and have excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.

No IELTS is required for this scholarship.

Requirements for University of Calgary 2024 Masters Scholarship

Applicants must possess the following to be selected for this scholarship

  • Meet the entrance and English Language requirements of the University of Calgary.
  • You must have experience and proficiency with engineering simulation and programming tools. This includes ANSYS Fluent, TRNSYS, Python, MATLAB, and COMSOL Multiphysics, among others.
  • Have a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
