UNESCO Scholarship 2024 – Institution For Water Education
About Scholarship:
The IHE Delft Water and Development Partnership Programme, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers a limited number of scholarships to support capacity building and the development of a network of water professionals in the program’s priority countries. There are full and partial scholarships available. The full scholarships cover the entire cost of the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development, including tuition, insurance, international travel costs, and a monthly allowance of EURO 1,115 for living and accommodation expenses throughout the study period.
If you are able to arrange for partial funding from other sources (private means, your employer, or another scholarship), please contact Ineke Melis, coordinator Fellowship and Admission Office ([email protected]). Candidates who match the qualifying and selection criteria and have received partial funding from another source may apply for the remaining funds to supplement their scholarship expenses.
The fellowship requires students to perform their MSc research in their home country/region, in collaboration with one of the projects supported by the program in that country/region. Furthermore, students must engage in and contribute to seminars organized by the programme’s learning networks. This will help to enhance regional capacities, foster water sector networks, and develop knowledge relevant to the programme’s priority regions.

How To Apply
You are not need to complete a separate application form to apply for this scholarship. If you are a national of an eligible country and meet the eligibility requirements, you will be automatically considered for the scholarship after applying for admission and receiving your academic admission letter. Given the restricted budget and number of scholarships available, we recommend that you apply for additional scholarships for which you are also eligible, as well as awards that cover a portion of the entire cost of the programme. Applicants who are qualified for the Rabbani award should apply for this scholarship as well.
If you are from one of these countries and wish to study at IHE Delft, we recommend that you apply for admission as soon as feasible. We also recommend that you brush up on your English and, if necessary, register for an English language exam in a timely manner, as this is a requirement* for final admission and scholarship eligibility.
If no sufficient English test results are submitted before June 1, 2024, you will be ineligible for the scholarship.
