About Scholarship:

The Tony Elumelu Foundation is a major philanthropic organization that empowers a new generation of African entrepreneurs, drives poverty eradication, catalyses job creation in all 54 African countries, and ensures inclusive economic empowerment. Since the inception of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme in 2015, the Foundation has trained over 1.5 million young Africans on its digital hub, TEFConnect, and distributed nearly USD$100 million in direct funding to 18,000 African women and men, who have created over 400,000 direct and indirect jobs. The AFRI capitalism that underpins the Foundation’s mission views the private sector, especially entrepreneurs, as a driving force behind Africa’s social and economic development.

The Foundation’s ability to support, train, advise, and network young African entrepreneurs has resulted in a unique platform for catalysing growth across the African continent. The Foundation’s strong ability to reach entrepreneurs across geographies and sectors has enabled it to conduct innovative partnerships with the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United States Government via the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS), the French Development Agency (AFD), and the German Development Finance

Tony Elumelu Grant Benefits:

  • €10,000 grant to 120 women entrepreneurs from TEF alumni network.
  • 3 months of technical support via virtual acceleration program.
  • €50,000 additional grant for up to 15 high-growth enterprises.

2024 Tony Elumelu Grant Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a Women
  • Entrepreneur from TEF Alumni network.
  • Working product with existing customers.
  • Open to businesses across all sectors.
