About Scholarship:
Study in Canada Scholarships are designed to improve the opportunity for Canadian postsecondary institutions, to welcome overseas students from a variety of countries and territories on short-term study or research exchanges. This will allow institutions to strengthen and broaden their international ties while also promoting academic and research excellence in new markets.
The program’s new links will expand and deepen Canada’s educational engagement with a diverse variety of partners, strengthen bilateral ties, and complement the Canadian government’s broader international trade diversification objectives.
The Study in Canada Scholarships are part of Global Affairs Canada’s International Scholarships Program and provide short-term exchange opportunities.
Scholarship Category:
Undergraduate Scholarship Masters Scholarship Postgraduate Scholarship
Scholarship Benefits:
- College/Undergraduate: $10,200 for 4 months or one academic term.
- Graduate: $12,700 for 5-6 months.
- Requires valid student exchange agreement for tuition waiver.
Scholarship Eligibility:
- Citizens of eligible countries: Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan, Türkiye, Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Full-time students enrolled at a post-secondary institution in eligible country/territory.
- Tuition fees paid at application and during exchange.
- Not eligible if holding or having pending Canadian citizenship/residency application, participating in a government-funded scholarship program, or enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program
- Canadian post-secondary institutions must be Designated Learning Institutions (DLI) and have a valid student exchange agreement.
Application Process:
- Canadian institutions must apply on behalf of eligible students before the deadline.
- Pre-application, Canadian institutions should promote the scholarship to faculty, staff, and partner institutions.
- Non-Canadian institutions should review eligibility requirements, explore exchange agreements, promote the scholarship, and identify students meeting the Canadian partner institution’s eligibility and admission requirements.
- Students interested in studying in Canada should review eligibility requirements, inquire about exchange agreements, and contact their international office for more information.
