About Scholarship:

The Salford International Excellence Award supports a range of talented, inspiring and creative international students at the undergraduate level who aim to be the leaders of the future. Our international scholarship committee judges the Salford International Excellence Scholarship. Ten selected applicants will get £5,000. To be eligible for this award, you must have applied for an undergraduate course beginning in September 2024.

Scholarship Eligibility:

You must be an international student for fee-paying purposes and require a student visa to come and study with us.

Students on the following courses are not eligible to apply for this scholarship:

  • Any undergraduate programmes including a placement with the NHS, including Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics.
  • Any Top Up programme 
  • Any postgraduate programme

You may apply for this scholarship if you have already been awarded a different scholarship. However, in line with our terms and conditions, you can only receive one scholarship – the one with the highest value.

Excellence Scholarship Application Process:

Part 1: Describe how past experiences and achievements will aid success.

  • Include academic achievements, sporting achievements, involvement in social, economic, and cultural development, entrepreneurial activities.
  • Avoid sensitive information like political, religious, philosophical beliefs, medical history, ethnicity, or sexuality.
  • Essay should be no longer than 300 words.

Part 2: Explain how the study program will enhance understanding of the subject and positively contribute to the home country.

  • Highlight commitment to the chosen subject area and how studies will support the future and home country.
  • Avoid sensitive information like political, religious, philosophical beliefs, medical history, ethnicity, or sexuality.

Applications open: Monday 26 February 2024

Application deadline: Monday 15 April 2024

Applicants notified of outcome: Friday 3 May 2024

Deadline to accept scholarship: Monday 20 May 2024
