NNPC/SHELL Undergraduate Scholarship 2024

Under a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCO), operator of Oil Mining Lease 118 on behalf of itself and other Co-ventures comprising Nigerian Agip Exploration, TotalEnergies Nigeria, and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Limited, hereby invites applications from eligible Nigerian students for the 2024 NNPC – SNEPCo National University Scholarship Program.

The program’s objectives are to develop young Nigerians’ skills and encourage academic success. From the second year of their undergraduate education to the end, successful applicants receive an annual grant.

The National institutions Commission (NUC) invites qualified undergraduate students enrolled in courses at Nigerian institutions to submit an internet application at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2024NNPCSNEPCo.

Scholarship Category:

Undergraduate.

Scholarship Benefit:

200,000 Naira yearly.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen.
  • Applicant must be in second year of full-time study at NUC-accredited Nigerian University.
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.5 in 5-grade system or equivalent.
  • Not a beneficiary of other scholarships from Oil and Gas industry.
  • Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

NNPC/SHELL Undergraduate Scholarship Selection process:

  • Application must be received via scholarship portal by specified deadline.
  • Eligibility criteria must be met for computer-based test invitation.
  • Top 10 candidates shortlisted from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory for academic verification before the scholarship offer.
  • Students with False results will be disqualified.
  • Successful candidates will be contacted for award.
  • To keep the award, all scholars must maintain a minimum of 3.5 CGPA per session in a 5-grade system, or the equivalent in other grade systems.

  • SNEPCo does not assign representatives/agents for application assistance.
  • False documents can lead to disqualification or withdrawal.
  • Transfer of scholarship offer to another university or course is not allowed.

  • Each candidate needs to have a valid phone number and personal email address.

  • Applications should contain the candidate’s personal and academic information.
  • Click on “Apply Now” tab.
  • Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
  • Activate your account via email.
  • Return to Scholarship site at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2024NNPCSNEPCo.
  • Enter your registered email and password to upload information.
  • Download and fill the Government Official Declaration Form at https://dragnetscreening.ng/files/SNEPCoGOform.pdf.
  • Enter personal, National Identification Number, educational, and other information.
  • Ensure names match on all documents.
  • View all documents after uploading for clarity and accuracy.
  • Upload a passport photograph with a white background.
  • Recheck application information to avoid errors.
  • Click “Apply Now” to submit information.
  • Receive confirmation via email and SMS.
  • Download profile and have Head of Department sign the document.
  • Upload a scanned copy for verification.
  • Note: Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship board

Important Documents:

  • Recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, not more than 200kilobytes.
  • University or JAMB Admission Letter.
  • Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result.
  • O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable;
  • Letter of Identification from State of Origin indicating applicant’s local government of origin.
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average after the first year i.e. candidate must have completed and have results of 2 academic semesters at the minimum.
