John Thompson Business School Scholarship 2024

Dublin City University’s Business School, alongside the family and friends of the late John Thompson, is calling for applications for the John Thompson Business School Scholarship. This award covers the full tuition fees for one student enrolled in the MSc in Digital Marketing program. See other scholarships worldwide.

They established the John Thompson Scholarship in 2008 to commemorate John Thompson, a towering figure in Irish media with nearly three decades of influence. He was a top executive and contributed to the launch and success of major publications such as U Magazine, The Sunday World, and The Irish Farmers Journal. His leadership roles included serving as the Chief Executive of Associated Newspapers Ireland and Managing Director at Independent Star Limited.

The 2024 John Thompson Scholarship fully funds the tuition of any successful applicant to study for a Master’s degree at DCU.

To be eligible for the John Thompson Scholarship 

  • Be a home or foreign student
  • Be applying to study at the DCU Business School
  • Have applied to the MSc Digital Marketing programme here in DCU Business School.

Required Documents for John Thompson Scholarship

In order to apply students should submit a copy of each of the following:

  • A CV
  • A statement of motivation and suitability for the scholarship (maximum of 250 words).
  • A copy of their academic transcript/proof of final degree award
