Step by Step Process
- Fill out your Indian visa application form through this official link. Ensure you enter your accurate details because you cannot edit after submission.
- Keep a softcopy passport photograph on standby, make sure it meets the site’s requirement before you upload.
- Take note of your temporary ID which would be given to you while filling the form, as you would need it again. Also take note of an application ID which would be sent to you while filling the form. You need it for an appointment.
- Check the status of your application.
- Print out confirmation page after submitting and click on “Get appointment” to book an appointment.”
Documents Needed For Indian visa
Before applying for an Indian visa from Nigeria, you must have the following documents.
- International passport with at least two free pages and six months validity.
- A photocopy of the data page of the international passport.
- An old international passport, if any.
- A printed visa form that has been thoroughly completed online and signed. Your signature must match the signature on your international passport.
- Two recent passport photographs in 50mm X 50mm size. You should glue the pictures on your form in the spaces provided.
- An Introduction letter.
- An invite letter from your Indian host, with a scanned copy of PAN/Aadhar card. The card must be emailed to HCI.
- Complete travel itinerary. (Hotel bookings and places you would be visiting).
- Your bank statement for the last six months.
- Proof of Nigerian address (NIN, Driver’s license or Voter’s card).
- Local profile of the applicant as applicable.
If your visa is approved, you’ll be required to pay the visa fee and collect your passport after three (3) days. Please note that you need to travel with an Oral Polio Vaccination (OPV) or an Inactive Polio Vaccination (IPV). These certificates must be valid for one year after receiving it’s administration. You would also need a Yellow fever Vaccination Certificate.
